This explains what AdCreator does with your details when you use this site, fill in the scorecard, book a Roadmap session, or get in touch. It is written in plain English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email me and I will explain it.

01Who we are

AdCreator is a performance creative studio run by Simon Hanlon. For data protection purposes, AdCreator is the controller of the information described below, which means we decide what is collected and why. For anything in this policy, email simon@adcreator.co.

02What we collect

We only collect what you give us. We do not buy lists or scrape contact details.

We do not ask for special category data, and we would rather you did not send it. There is no need to share anything sensitive to use this site.

03Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your details to do the thing you came here for, and to follow up about how we might help.

Our lawful basis for follow-up is legitimate interest: you are a business contact, you have shown interest in what we do, and a short, relevant follow-up is something you would reasonably expect. When you book a Roadmap session, we also process your details to deliver that session. You can object to the follow-up at any time, and we will stop.

04How the scorecard score works

The scorecard gives you a read on your channel coverage, creative volume and testing. Behind that, we also note internally whether your setup looks like a fit for what AdCreator does. That assessment is based only on the answers you give. It is used to decide whether and how to follow up. It is not shared, sold, or used to make any automated decision that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

05Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. A small number of providers handle it on our behalf so the site and bookings work. Each one only processes it for that purpose.

Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where your data is transferred abroad, it is protected by the safeguards those providers have in place, such as standard contractual clauses. We will share your details with law enforcement or regulators only where the law requires it.

06How long we keep it

We keep scorecard and contact details for as long as there is a live reason to, which usually means while we are in contact or you are a client, and for a reasonable period after in case you come back. If a conversation goes nowhere and there is no ongoing reason to hold your details, we delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner.

07Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can:

To do any of these, email simon@adcreator.co and we will sort it. If you are not happy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.

08Opting out

Every follow-up email we send carries a way to opt out. Use it and we will stop, no questions asked. You can also just email us and ask to be removed.

09Cookies

This site keeps cookies to a minimum. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies that follow you around the web. Where we use anything at all, it is to make the site work and to understand, in aggregate, which pages are useful. The Calendly booking widget may set its own cookies when you use it, which are covered by Calendly's own policy.

10Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. The current version always lives here.
