This explains what AdCreator does with your details when you use this site, take a seat through the fit check, book a call, or get in touch. It is written in plain English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email me and I will explain it.
01 · Who we are
AdCreator is a performance creative studio run by Simon Hanlon. For data protection purposes, AdCreator is the controller of the information described below. For anything in this policy, email simon@adcreator.co.
02 · What we collect
We only collect what you give us. We do not buy lists or scrape contact details.
- The fit check. Your email address, your monthly ad spend band, the channels you run, and (if you answer the optional question) your biggest bottleneck.
- Anonymous page events. The site records that steps of the fit check were reached, with no name, email, cookie, or identifier attached. We cannot connect these events to you.
- Call bookings. If you book through Calendly, your name, email and the time you choose, plus anything you add in the notes.
- Direct contact. If you email us, we keep the email and whatever you put in it.
We do not ask for special category data, and we would rather you did not send it.
03 · Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your details to do the thing you came here for: reply to your fit check with a straight answer, deliver a call you booked, and answer anything you ask. Responding to your fit check is a step you request before entering a contract. Any wider follow-up rests on legitimate interest: you are a business contact who has shown interest in what we do, and a short, relevant follow-up is something you would reasonably expect. You can object at any time and we will stop.
04 · Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. A small number of providers handle it on our behalf so the site works, each only for that purpose:
- Netlify hosts this site and receives what you submit through the fit check, plus the anonymous page events.
- Calendly handles call bookings. Its software loads only if you click to book a call; visitors who never do are never connected to Calendly. Calendly sets its own cookies inside its booking window, under its own policy.
This site runs no analytics trackers and no advertising pixels, sets no cookies of its own, and serves its fonts from its own server rather than a third party. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
05 · How long we keep it
Fit check submissions and emails are kept while the conversation is live or a fit might reasonably still exist, and deleted when they are no longer relevant. Tell us to delete yours sooner and we will.
06 · Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop using it, and object to follow-up at any time. Email simon@adcreator.co and it will be handled directly, usually the same day. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
